A Renewal You Can Read Before You Buy

A Genuinely Free First Year

Inc Authority includes registered agent service at $0 for twelve months with its formation packages. We examined the offer for the usual conditions, a setup fee, a truncated term, a clause reclaiming the value, and found none of them. For a new Arkansas company watching its cash, a free year of a legally mandatory service is a real benefit and we would not advise anyone to refuse it.

The Renewal Is Simply Not Disclosed

After that year, the price becomes unavailable. Inc Authority does not publish a renewal rate for registered agent service. We reviewed the FAQ, the package pages, and the homepage; the figure is absent from all three, and the pattern this market suggests is that it surfaces at checkout or during a phone call.

We will not supply a number in its place. Fabricating a competitor's renewal would undermine the only claim this page makes, which is that a price you can read beforehand is worth more than one you cannot. The structural observation is sufficient on its own. A registered agent is a recurring cost for the life of the entity, the renewal is therefore the figure that governs the total, and a renewal you cannot see is a comparison you cannot run.

Published, Flat, and Checkable

Our rate is $99 for the first year and $99 for each year that follows, printed on the pricing page where anyone can read it without starting an order. Service of process received in our Arkansas office is scanned before the day is out and emailed to you. The Secretary of State's record carries our Arkansas street address instead of yours. May 1 franchise tax reminders are included. A single further charge exists, $15 an item for scanning general correspondence, and it is public for exactly the same reason the annual price is.

Who Can Take Over, and What the Change Costs

Arkansas gives you real choice about the replacement and charges nothing to record it. The Model Registered Agents Act, at §§ 4-20-104 and 4-20-105, recognizes three routes: a commercial agent carried on the Secretary of State's list, a noncommercial agent, meaning an adult resident of Arkansas or an entity authorized here, and, used far less often, the holder of a named office or position inside the company itself. The one route closed off is self-appointment, because an LLC may not serve as its own agent. Whichever you take, the address on file has to be a genuine Arkansas street address or rural route box number, with a separate in-state mailing address noted if there is one, and a PO box on its own falls short.

The filing itself is the Notice of Change of Registered Agent Information, handed to the Arkansas Secretary of State's Business and Commercial Services Division, and the state's fee is $0. Choose and appoint the new agent before you file, because the form records the incoming appointment directly and Arkansas expects your entity to have an agent at every moment in between. Close the Inc Authority account once the state's record confirms the change, which also settles any uncertainty about a renewal charge you were never quoted.
