Professional Compliance

A ZenBusiness Alternative Priced the Same Every Year

For $99 a year, get a Arkansas agent with a registered address on file, same-day scanning of legal documents, and compliance reminders before state deadlines.

Disclosure first, as a matter of practice. Arkansas Registered Agent.co publishes this page and operates the service occupying the second column of every table on it. The ZenBusiness figures are drawn from their published pricing and can be verified independently in a few minutes.

A Dashboard Worth Paying For, If You Use It

ZenBusiness has invested in the interface and it shows. Formation records, filing statuses, and incoming agent documents live inside one console that is coherent to navigate, and for an owner juggling several obligations at once that consolidation carries value. If what you want is a business administration platform with the agent slot filled in, the product answers the question well.

Two Published Prices, One of Which Recurs

Purchased on its own, without a formation package, ZenBusiness standalone registered agent service is $99 plus state fees in the first term and $199 per year thereafter. Both numbers are disclosed. The distinction that matters is that only one of them repeats, and a registered agent is a permanent requirement rather than a one-time purchase.

The Arkansas duty is fixed by statute and does not scale with what you pay for it. Under §§ 4-20-104 and 4-20-105 the agent maintains an actual street address in the state, or a rural route box number, and remains available during business hours to receive service of process. That obligation reads the same in year one as in year ten. A renewal that roughly doubles is not reflecting a change in the work performed.

TermZenBusiness (standalone)Arkansas Registered Agent.co
Opening term$99 plus state fees$99
Years two through ten, each$199$99
Ten-year total$1,890 plus state fees$990

Nine hundred dollars over a decade, for a statutory function that is identical in both columns.

One further detail sits inside the opening figure. ZenBusiness quotes $99 plus state fees, so the order total depends on which filings accompany the purchase. Our $99 is the entire charge from us. Any state charge tied to a filing you elect to make is settled with Arkansas directly, at the rate the state publishes.

Everything Inside Our $99

  • $99 per year, with each renewal identical to the first invoice.
  • Same-day scanning of service of process once it is received at our Arkansas office, with the scan emailed to you and archived.
  • A compliant Arkansas street address on your Secretary of State record in place of your own.
  • Franchise tax report alerts before every May 1 deadline, included in the rate.
  • One published add-on, $15 per item, for scanning non-legal mail.

One claim we decline to make. At $90 a year BetterLegal prints a lower figure than ours, and our Arkansas ranking records that plainly. The $99 sits among the lowest annual rates published for this state, and what distinguishes it is that it never moves once you are a customer.

Replacing ZenBusiness on the Arkansas Record

Arkansas makes this unusually simple. Section 4-20-108 of the Arkansas Code authorizes a statement of change, and the state prints it as a Notice of Change of Registered Agent Information, a combined form that serves every entity type, catalogued DO-3 and shown on the LLC forms page as DO-03. LLCs, corporations, and foreign entities file the identical document. The Business and Commercial Services Division of the Secretary of State's office receives it, by post or through the online filing system, and the fee line reads $0.

The form's own structure enforces continuity, which is the part worth understanding. It names the outgoing agent and the incoming agent in the same document, so the appointment transfers in a single entry rather than lapsing and restarting. That is why the replacement is hired before the filing is made and not after: you need the new agent's exact name and Arkansas street address on the form, and your entity should never sit in the state's database with no agent listed against it.

Once it is filed, confirm the change on the Secretary of State's business entity search, then close the ZenBusiness account so the $199 renewal does not process against a service you no longer use. Our Arkansas change of agent page sets out each step.
